Emirates recorded (06-Aug-2018) more than two million passengers to and from Auckland since commencing services to the city in 2003. The carrier handled more than 85,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Auckland in the last three years. The airline initially served Auckland via Sydney and Melbourne before adding service via Brisbane. The carrier deployed A380 equipment to Auckland in 2009 and now operates daily nonstop Dubai-Auckland service with A380 and daily Dubai-Denpasar-Auckland service with Boeing 777-300ER equipment.
