Emirates and China Southern Airlines signed (03-Feb-2019) an MoU and codeshare cooperation agreement. The agreement will initially cover codeshare on 18 routes from 31-Mar-2019, including both carriers' Guangzhou-Dubai services; China Southern's services from Guangzhou to Fuzhou, Chongqing, Kunming, Xiamen, Qingdao, Chengdu, Nanjing and Xian; and Emirates' services from Dubai to Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Kuwait, Muscat, Mahe and Lagos. The carriers plans to cooperate in other areas in the future such as freight, frequent flyer programmes, lounges and airport collaboration.
