Here are the key executive changes for July 2018:

  • United Engine Corporation (UEC) board elected Rostec first deputy director general Vladimir Artyakov as chairman on 06-Jul-2018;
  • Kenya Airports Authority appointed Isaac Awuondo as chairman of the board of directors;
  • Eurowings Group appointed Francesco Sciortino and Michael Knoth as MDs for LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter, effective 01-Aug-2018;
  • Malta‘s Minister of Tourism Konrad Mizzi confirmed the appointment of Clifford Chetcuti as Air Malta CEO, effective 01-Sep-2018;
  • Ellinair appointed Thanos Paschalis as CEO, effective 01-Sep-2018;
  • El Al appointed Noam Doron as chief operating officer, effective 15-Sep-2018;
  • Poland‘s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appointed Janusz Janiszewski as acting president of PANSA, effective since 09-Jul-2018;
  • Iran Aseman Airlines appointed Mohammad Gorji as MD, succeeding Hossein Alaei who resigned;
  • Nordica supervisory board accepted the resignation of management board chairman Jaan Tamm on 12-Jul-2018. Supervisory board member Hannes Saarpuu will temporarily replace Mr Tamm until a new chairman is found;
  • Aberdeen International Airport MD Carol Benzie announced her resignation after ten years at the airport. AGS Airports CEO Derek Provan will oversee Aberdeen International Airport during the process of selecting a replacement for Ms Benzie;
  • Aena appointed Maurici Lucena Betriu as president and CEO effective 16-Jul-2018;
  • Polar Airlines appointed Semen Vinokurov as director general on 19-Jul-2018;
  • Nordavia appointed Aleksandr Stognushenko as executive director;
  • Copenhagen Airports A/S announced plans to appoint Rasmus Lund as CFO, effective 01-Dec-2018;
  • IAG appointed Vincent Hodder as LEVEL CEO on 25-Jul-2018;
  • SE Lithuanian Airports announced the following changes to its leadership team:
    • Karolis Matulaitis: Appointed Kaunas International Airport director, effective 09-Aug-2018;
    • Andrius Daujotas: Appointed Palanga International Airport director, effective 27-Jul-2018;
    • Dainius Čiuplys: Appointed Vilnius International Airport director, effective 23-Jul-2018.
  • LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique appointed João Carlos Pó Jorge as general director;
  • Austrian Airlines announced Alexis von Hoensbroech took over as CEO from Kay Kratky;
  • Bristol Airport appointed Dave Lees as new CEO, effective 01-Aug-2018. Prior to this appointment, Mr Lees was the managing director at Southampton Airport;
  • South Africa‘s Department of Public Enterprises announced the appointment of Siza Mzimela as SA Express acting CEO on 01-Aug-2018.
