easyJet doubles ATOL pax protection by obtaining additional licence

9 July, 2018

easyJet received an air travel organisers' licensing (ATOL) licence for 184,994 passengers from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (Travolution/TTG Media, 06-Jul-2018). The new ATOL licence is independent from and in addition to the 166,450 passenger licence held by easyJet Holidays. As previously reported by CAPA, easyJet plans to expand its packaged holidays business and increase ancillary revenues through initiatives such as a loyalty programme. Around 500,000 passengers currently book hotels via easyJet's sales platforms out of an addressable market of 20 million.
