easyJet CEO criticises call for new Dutch aviation tax

easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren commented on the Dutch Government's consultation on introducing a new aviation tax from 2021 (Travel Weekly, 20-Jul-2018). "It's painted as an environmental tax, but with no benefit to the environment. We are against it. It is not the way forward", he argued. The consultation launched in early Jul-2018 and seeks to ascertain the best charging model for the tax, as previously reported by CAPA.
