Dutch court rules Ryanair has no right to close Eindhoven base but cannot stop closure

Netherlands' Hertogenbosch district court ruled Ryanair has no right to close its base at Eindhoven Airport, however the court cannot prevent the carrier from closing the base (Reuters/Bloomberg, 01-Nov-2018). As previously reported by CAPA, the European Cockpit Association criticised the decision, describing Ryanair's base closures and fleet reduction as a "declaration of war" and punishment for industrial actions by pilot and cabin crew unions. Ryanair plans to close its Eindhoven base on 05-Nov-2018.
