Dubai International Airport head of security Farah Al Ansari stated the concept of security has "completely changed" in the aviation industry, and systems have to be upgraded to align with modern technology (The National, 22-Jan-2018). The airport plans to upgrade its security with biometric technology, advanced face recognition and AI, with Ms Al Ansari pointing out: "We need to have intelligent systems in place to support security and passenger movement".
