Germany's Federal Government, alongside Berlin and Brandenburg states, intend to hold discussions on the future of Berlin Tegel Airport during an early shareholders meeting on 26-Oct-2017, as confirmed by Berlin's Governing Mayor Michael Müller (Berliner Zeitung/airliners.de/rbb24.de, 19-Oct-2017). As previously reported by CAPA, Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel stated Berlin Tegel Airport "must be closed" following the opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport, adding: "That is the legal position".
