Deutsche Lufthansa considering 787 as part of widebody order: report

    Deutsche Lufthansa AG reportedly requested proposals from both Airbus and Boeing for an order of around 20 widebody aircraft with estimated value of USD5 billion at list prices (Bloomberg, 23-Oct-2018). The group is considering the purchase of Boeing 787-9 equipment, and is also looking at replacing A340 aircraft, according to reports. The carrier does not operate 787 equipment, however currently has 11 A350 aircraft in service with 14 on order, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
