Delta to expand service at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport

Delta Air Lines announced (05-Feb-2018) plans to expand service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in 2018, enabling the carrier to serve all top 20 domestic markets and 36 destinations in total:

  • Cincinnati-Austin: Six times weekly service to launch on 01-May-2018 with Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft;
  • Cincinnati-Phoenix: Daily service to launch on 04-Nov-2018 with Boeing 737-800;
  • Cincinnati-Seattle: Seasonal schedule to move to year-round on 02-Mar-2018, based on strong demand from both business and leisure customers;
  • Cincinnati-Baltimore: Frequency to increase from 07-May-2018;
  • Cincinnati-Denver: Service upgauged from 717s to larger MD90 aircraft in Dec-2017, in response to customer demand and providing over 40% more seats;
  • Cincinnati-Fort Myers: Service to upgauge to 717 aircraft on 01-May-2018;
  • Select flights to Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Raleigh-Durham and Las Vegas to offer extra seat capacity;
  • Cincinnati-Tampa: Service to retain 717 equipment instead of a seasonal downguage to a 76 seat regional aircraft;
  • Cincinnati-Chicago O'Hare: Saturday schedule to improve from Apr-2018.

The carrier has increased capacity by 12% during the past years, and now offers first class on 78% of all Cincinnati services.
