Delta grows trans Atlantic unit revenues in 3Q2018

Delta Air Lines president Glen William Hauenstein stated (11-Oct-2018) trans Atlantic unit revenues increased 8% in 3Q2018, driven by “yield improvement and strong demand environment”. However in Latin America, after eight consecutive quarters of positive unit revenue, PRASM was down 3%, driven by “currency headwinds and political instability”. He said: “We are making necessary adjustments by deemphasising capacities in weak markets to offset headwinds and return to unit revenue growth by early next year”. The carrier’s unit revenues increase 5% in the Pacific. [more – original PR]
