Delta Air Lines to retain Salt Lake City Airport hub: CEO

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said the airline intends to retain its hub at Salt Lake City International Airport (Deseret News/The Salt Lake Tribune, 18-Jan-2019). Mr Bastian said the airline has grown by almost 25% during the last three and a half years, adding it is the "second largest airport growth" among "any" of the airline's major cities. Mr Bastian said the airline will also help pay for the airport's USD3.6 billion reconstruction project, with 110 seat A220-100 aircraft also planned to commence operations at Salt Lake City in May-2019.
