Delta Air Lines notes positive effects of Korean Air JV

Delta Air Lines VP of Asia Pacific Matteo Curcio said the carrier has seen some positive effects from its joint venture with Korean Air, which was initiated on 01-May-2018 (Korea Times, 24-Jan-2019). He said the number of transfer passengers from Delta to Korean Air has increased by more than 300% compared to 2016. He said: "In 2019, Delta footprint in the joint venture is growing seven to eight per cent in terms of seats and capacity, which is truly remarkable and only in the few months of the joint venture, we were able to find growth opportunities".
