David Neeleman: A220 will give new start up flexibility to operate short and long haul routes

19 July, 2018
David Neeleman, majority investor in a new US start-up carrier, stated the A220 will provide the new carrier with "a ton of flexibility to be able to go long haul" (Bloomberg, 17-Jul-2018). The aircraft has the ability to "go super long distances or short flights", giving it the capacity to build links with other carriers Mr Neeleman is invested in, including Azul based in Brazil and TAP, based in Portugal.
