Here, using the extensive profile insights available to CAPA - Centre for Aviation members to deliver a data snapshot, we look at Spain, which over the past two weeks has seen international system seats rise above the one million figure for the first time since Mar-2020.

As European nations begin to lift travel restrictions Spain, which had been among the hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, has seen a strong travel recovery with its popular holiday destinations on the mainland and across the Balearic and Canary islands seeing a lift in arrivals.

The country is a popular market, particularly for travellers from across Germany and the United Kingdom - two countries which have also recently lifted lockdowns - and right now Spain is the world's second largest international market.
