Darwin Airport: USD17m in private investment set for Darwin with new retail development

Darwin Airport announced (29-May-2019) AUD25 million (USD17.3 million) in private investment is expected to be injected into the local economy as part of the next stage of the Darwin Airport Central development. The retail and entertainment hub development will support up to 150 jobs during construction and 60 new permanent jobs after completion. The development will also see an upgrade of a nearby road intersection to improve access and safety, with the Northern Territory Government and developer both committing AUD5.6 million (USD3.9 million) towards the project.
