18 May, 2018

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) CEO Firoz Tarapore said the company is in talks with Airbus and Boeing to acquire 400 aircraft, but is "nowhere near where we thought we would be" in finalising orders (Reuters, 17-May-2018). He added: "We are not happy with the price". Mr Tarapore said DAE is interested in A320neo and 737 MAX aircraft. The company may consider other options if it cannot reach an agreement with Airbus and Boeing, potentially including the acquisition of another lessor.
