CTA CEO: APPR support pax confidence and produce 'level playing field'

Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) chairman and CEO Scott Streiner issued (28-May-2019) a statement regarding the new Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR), which he said will "help foster consumer confidence and a level playing field". Mr Streiner said the APPR are a "balanced package" which will establish "clear, consistent rules for air travel" that are in "everyone's interest". The CTA will issue guidance material regarding the new regulations in the coming week, with a programme of education, monitoring and enforcement to be introduced in the next few months.
