Confederation of Tourism Organisations of Latin America (Cotal) president Armando Bojórquez stated air fares on the routes Mexico City-Havana and Cancun-Havana have increased 20% following Cubana de Aviación's fatal accident on 18-May-2018 (reportur.com, 24-Jun-2018). He said the suspension of operations by Cubana de Aviación "has caused a saturation in the flights of Interjet and Aeromexico. The less supply and more demand this has caused an increase in the tourist product".
