Costco to construct USD60m warehouse and distribution centre at Western Sydney Aerotropolis

Costco Australia plans to construct a 33,588sqm, AUD77 million (USD60 million) warehouse and distribution facility at Kemps Creek, part of Western Sydney Airport‘s planned ‘Aerotropolis’ economic precinct (Business Insider Australia, 25-Feb-2018). New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian welcomed the decision, stating: “The location of these jobs is also strategically important for our state, with Costco’s new facility only a stone’s throw away from the future Western Sydney Airport site in Badgerys Creek”. Ms Berejiklian added the Aerotropolis will be a “fully integrated economic precinct that will deliver jobs and opportunities for the people of Western Sydney”. As previously reported by CAPA, Costco is also developing a 14,000sqm store at Perth Airport.
