At the recent CAPA Airline Leader Summit in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Willie Walsh, chief executive officer, IAG praised Aer Lingus’ performance and business model and Iberia’s transformation under IAG ownership, while acknowledging it has more work to do. He explained the thinking behind IAG’s new Level brand for long haul low cost and highlighted the differences between Qatar Airways’ relationship with IAG and Etihad’s approach to equity investment. He talked about the importance of big data and IAG’s Hangar 51 start-up investment programme.
