Indonesia's Minister of Tourism Wishnutama Kusubandio said the coronavirus outbreak in China may negatively impact Indonesia's tourism earnings by USD4 billion (Reuters, 06-Feb-2020). Mr Kusubandio stated Indonesia recorded two million Chinese visitors in 2019, with average spending of USD1400 per arrival. He commented: "With the negative trend seen in tourists from other countries, the loss would be even more significant".
