6 May, 2020

Berlin Airport Company chairman and CEO Dr Engelbert Lütke Daldrup said (06-May-2020) a concentration of passenger traffic operations at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport is "unavoidable" if traffic remains low in the coming months. He said traffic has already halved to date compared to the same period in 2019. As previously reported by CAPA, the company applied for permission to lift the operating obligation for Berlin Tegel Airport with the aim of temporarily closing the airport from 01-Jun-2020.
