Commerce Commission releases paper on Auckland and Christchurch airport pricing review

New Zealand's Commerce Commission released (20-Oct-2017) a process and issues paper for its review of the prices set by Auckland International Airport and Christchurch International Airport for the period 01-Jul-2017 to 30-Jun-2022. Commission deputy chair Sue Begg said: "Areas we propose to focus on include the reasonableness of the airports' target returns, forecast capital and operating spending, and the efficiency of pricing". Submissions on the paper are due by 28-Nov-2017. The Commission intends to release draft reports for Auckland Airport in Mar-2018 and Christchurch Airport in May-2018.
