China United Airlines to be first to operate at Beijing Daxing International Airport

China United Airlines will be the first airline to operate at Beijing Daxing International Airport when the airport commences operation by the end of Sep-2019 (Air Transport World, 16-Sep-2019). The airline will also remain the sole operator until winter 2019/2020 period commencing 27-Oct-2019. It plans to operate on 80 routes, handling 20,000 passengers and 140 frequencies per day during the period after transitioning all its operation from Beijing Nanyuan Airport to Beijing Daxing Airport. Beijing Nanyuan Airport will cease civil aviation service when Beijing Daxing Airport commences operation. CAAC reportedly said 16 airlines will operate 116 routes at the airport during winter 2019/2020, including 101 domestic and 15 international routes. The other 15 airlines are Air China, Beijing Capital Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Postal Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hebei Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, I-Fly, LOT Polish Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Brunei Airlines and Somali Airlines.
