China Southern Airlines studying plans to operate to Tonga

Tonga's Minister of Tourism Sione Moala-Mafi said the Ministry has been in talks with a delegation from the Fujian Tourism Development Company to launch a weekly nonstop service between mainland China and Tonga before the end of 2019 (Matangi Tonga, 06-Mar-2019). He said the next step will be a visit from China Southern Airlines in Apr-2019 to study Nuku'alofa Fua'Amotu International Airport's infrastructure, adding that a possible aircraft that could be used is the A330.
