China Southern Airlines adjusts long haul international operations

China Southern Airlines filed the following long haul service changes for the 2020 summer season, effective 29-Mar-2020 (Routes Online, 31-De-2019):

  • Guangzhou-Brisbane: A330-300 to replace A350-900 from 29-Mar-2020. Frequency to temporarily reduce from daily to five times weekly from 20-Apr-2020 to 17-Jun-2020;
  • Guangzhou-Los Angeles: Boeing 777-300ER to replace A380 on daily CZ327/328 from 17-Jun-2020. CZ621/622 three times weekly service previously scheduled for entire summer, revised to 19-Jun-2020 to 30-Aug-2020, with 777-300ER replacing 787-9;
  • Guangzhou-Melbourne: A350-900 replaced A330-300 10 times weekly from 29-Mar-2020;
  • Guangzhou-New York JFK: 787-9 replaces 777-300ER on CZ399/300 service from 30-Mar-2020; CZ699/600 777-300ER service replaced with 787-9, planned operation revised, resulting in overall reduction from 14 to 10-13 weekly:
    • 02-May-2020 to 20-Jun-2020: Three times weekly;
    • 21-Jun-2020 to 05-Sep-2020: Six times weekly;
    • 08-Sep-2020 to 24-Oct-2020: Three times weekly;
  • Guangzhou-Sydney: A350-900 replaces A330-300 10 times weekly from 29-Mar-2020.
