China Eastern Airlines and Qantas expanded their codeshare partnership in summer 2019, effective 31-Mar-2019, covering additional domestic routes in Australia and China (Routes Online, 16-Apr-2019). Additional routes operated by Qantas include from Brisbane to Adelaide, Auckland, Canberra, Christchurch, Mackay, Newcastle and Townsville, Melbourne-Perth, and from Sydney to Hobart, Queenstown and Sunshine Coast. Additional routes operated by China Eastern includes from Shanghai Pudong to Ningbo, Tianjin and Urumqi.
