Hotel Indigo to land in Larnaca in late 2019
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has confirmed the signing of Hotel Indigo Cyprus – Larnaca, which is set to open at the end of 2019 under a franchise agreement with Quality Group and Sunnyseeker Hotels. The property, under the ownership of Quality Group, one of the premier property development companies in Cyprus, will be located in a historic part of Larnaca, close to the city centre and airport. Set on a side street within walking distance of the beach and shopping district, the hotel sees a pair of old houses gracefully combined with a contemporary four-storey building to offer a captivating blend of the old and the new. The move builds on Hotel Indigo’s strong growth as one of the largest boutique brands in this fast-growing segment. Having recently celebrated opening in 100 vibrant neighbourhoods around the world, Hotel Indigo made 33 new hotel signings in 2018 and is now set to double its portfolio over the next three to five years.
Radisson signs up second Radisson Collection property in Riyadh
Radisson Hotel Group has announce the signing of its second Radisson Collection property in Riyadh and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel & Residences brings the group’s portfolio in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to 43 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments and more than 10,000 rooms in operation and under development. Located in the heart of Riyadh on Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Road, the hotel will consist of 140 keys across various room and suite types. Guests requiring even more space or a longer stay will find accommodation in the hotel’s 27 serviced apartments and 24 three-bedroom villas.
IHG expands into Northern Poland with new Holiday Inn Gdansk – City Centre
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has expanded its long-standing partnership with UBM Development to open its first hotel in the Northern part of Poland with the Holiday Inn Gdansk – City Centre opening in July-2019. Located on the Granary Island, a unique urban concept assembled by the mouth of Motlawa river on the famous Wyspa Spichrzow, the property features 240 guest rooms on seven floors, five conference rooms, a 24/7 gym, IHG’s Open Lobby concept and Sky Bar. IHG currently has 11 hotels open in Poland across the brands InterContinental, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hotel Indigo. By 2021, an additional 17 hotels will open their doors.
The Levee brings luxurious, residential-style hospitality to Tel Aviv
The Levee, is a new, luxury hospitality product in Tel Aviv for guests seeking space, comfort and a home-away-from-home feel with the highest level of design and amenities in the city. Opening this month, it is situated in the quaint Neve Tzedek district, Tel Aviv’s original neighbourhood. The property is located within a historic eclectic architecture-style villa built in 1913 and has now undergone nine years of restoration to provide eight, spacious, luxury apartments for the discerning traveller. The apartments range from 115-280 square metres in size, with fully fitted kitchens, en-suite bathrooms, Egyptian cotton linens, private balconies, state-of-the art televisions, sound systems, high-speed complimentary WiFi and a 24/7 concierge service. The Levee also features an on-site concierge, daily turndown service, gym access, rooftop Jacuzzi and other elements of a hotel, but with the space and feel of a private home. The building, originally named The Gurevitch House, is part of Tel Aviv’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Radisson Blu’s new property in the Czech Republic capital, Prague is located in an Art Nouveau building from the 19th Century. The upscale brand has renovated the former Sheraton Prague Charles Square Hotel, preserving its historic features while adding a modern finish to its interior. Located alongside Charles Square, between Prague’s Old Town and New Town, the hotel features 160 guest rooms and suites.
Icelandair has reported it is in final negotiations for the sale of Icelandair Hotels and associated real estate with the prospective buyer. Icelandair will retain a 25% share in the sold assets and says it will provide further details on the transaction once a share purchase agreement is signed, no later than 16-Jul-2019.
Dexter Moren Associates (DMA) have received permission to commence construction on a five storey 196 room hotel within Glasgow Airport business park. This project is the latest of a number of airport hotels designed by DMA, which have included the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Aberdeen Airport.
After eight months of renovation work, Dan Hotels has re-opened the Dan Caesarea following an investment of NIS 80 million. The entire complex, comprising of 116 guestrooms and suites; lobby; dining room; children’s Danyland club and all the public areas have been renovated and upgraded.
The adults-only Lindos Grand Resort & Spa was formally opened on 01-Jul-2019. The contemporary hotel boasts views across the sandy shores of Vlycha Bay on Rhodes, the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands.
BLESS Hotel Ibiza, the new hotel from the brand BLESS Collection Hotels of Palladium Hotel Group, opened its doors on 13-Jun-2019. The property is located in Cala Nova, one of the most exclusive areas of the island and has 151 rooms.
The Travelodge property in Marlow has become the first new-build Travelodge Plus property to be opened outside of London. The hotel is its seventh in its updated Plus design and also features its Super Room category. It has 83-rooms and is located within Globe Business Park in the Buckinghamshire town.
