Brisbane Airport Corporation to develop USD208m automotive precinct with race track and dealerships
Brisbane Airport Corporation announced (21-Jun-2019) plans to develop BNE Auto Mall, with stage one due to open by 2021. The AUD300 million (USD208 million) automotive precinct will include a performance track, car dealerships, manufacturers and retail amenities. It will also service and sit alongside exhibition and conference facilities, hotels and driver training schools, which are all located next to the Brisbane Airport international terminal. The Confederation of Australian Motor Sports is also considering the performance track for certification.
Air France-KLM and Accor launch Miles+Points dual loyalty scheme
Air France-KLMand Accor launched (20-Jun-2019) a dual loyalty scheme enabling more rewards for their joint customers across more stages of passengers’ journeys. Members of the Flying Blue and Le Club AccorHotels loyalty programmes will be able to earn Miles+Points under the joint programme, which can be earned for every EUR1 spend on air services and hotel stays as well as converted between Flying Blue miles and Le Club points.
Novotel at Christchurch Airport scheduled to open 01-Nov-2019
Novotel at Christchurch Airport is reportedly commenced taking bookings and is scheduled to open on 01-Nov-2019 (Stuff, 18-Jun-2019). Christchurch Airport has invested NZD80 million (USD52 million) in the hotel which was originally scheduled to open in Dec-2017.
