Auckland Airport to convert former Qantas office/Altitude building into three star hotel
Auckland International Airport plans to construct a 144 room, three star hotel in a conversion of the former Qantas office/Altitude building at the facility (NZ Herald, 20-Sep-2018). Works are scheduled to commence later in 2018 or the beginning of 2019, with Dalman Architects appointed as lead on the conversion. Auckland Airport already has two and four star hotels, while a fourth hotel, which could be five star, is reportedly planned for delivery in the future.
Radisson Hotel Group accelerates expansion in China with new hotels and key hires
Radisson Hotel Group is accelerating its expansion plans in China with key appointments, landmark hotel signings and new openings. Radisson Hotel Group’s growth strategy in China is a key initiative in Destination 2022, the Group’s five-year strategic operating plan. With 35 properties in operation and under development across 21 cities in China, the Group plans to triple its portfolio of hotels by 2022.
