Flight Centre’s hotel management business BHMA announces first Phuket hotel

Flight Centre Travel Group’s hotels and accommodation business BHMA has announced a new hotel management agreement in Thailand, the X2 Vibe Phuket Patong. BHMA MD Kent Davidson said the agreement would mark the company’s first foray into the popular resort island. “Phuket is an extremely popular travel destination and one of the main growth destinations for FCTG’s expansion strategy. This property is a natural fit for the X2 Vibe brand and for BHMA group,” Mr Davidson said.

Atura Hotels opens 165 room hotel at Adelaide Airport

Atura Hotels opened (06-Sep-2018) a 165 room hotel at Adelaide Airport. The hotel also features eight meetings and conferences spaces with capacity to cater for up to 320 guests.

Singapore Airlines and Hotelbeds partner to offer holiday packages

Singapore Airlines and Hotelbeds Group formed a holiday packaging partnership to offer bundled flights and hotel accommodation to the airline’s customers under the ‘Singapore Airlines Holidays’ brand. Packages will be first introduced in Australia and made available online progressively in more than 20 source markets in Asia, Europe, India and North America. Singapore Airlines will use Hotelbeds’ dynamic packaging platform to enable customers to curate their own holiday packages with real time selection of flights and more than 170,000 hotels. More than 24,000 transfer routes and 18,000 activities will also be made available progressively. The agreement is Hotelbeds’ first for the supply of a dynamic packaging platform to a full service commercial airline. KrisFlyer members will be able to earn miles on the total package value.
