Cebu Pacific announced (17-Apr-2019) capacity increases at the following hubs, through a combination of additional services and larger aircraft, to address growth in demand from tourists and business travellers:
- Cebu: Increased weekly frequency to and from Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Siargao, Iloilo, Caticlan, Ozamiz and Zamboanga by an average of 63%, effective 15-Apr-2019. The airline also increased Cebu-Manila operations by 24%. The carrier stated it is positioning Cebu as a "beach hub" with connections to holiday destinations such as Siargao, Camiguin, Puerto Princesa and Caticlan;
- Clark: Increased Caticlan capacity by 231% by replacing ATR 72-600 with A320 equipment. The airline also plans to commence daily Clark-Iloilo, Clark-Bacolod and Clark-Tokyo Narita services from 09-Aug-2019 and daily Clark-Puerto Princesa service from 09-Oct-2019;
- Manila: Additional daily Manila-Bangkok frequency from 28-Apr-2019, increasing capacity by 41%. The airline will also deploy larger 236 seat A321neo equipment on Tokyo Narita and Denpasar services, increasing capacity by 3%, and 436 seat A330 equipment on Osaka and Shanghai services, increasing capacity by 90%.
