Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) plans to deploy NEXUS biometric verification technology at Vancouver International Airport (dailyhive.com, 28-Oct-2019). The NEXUS programme is jointly operated by the CBSA and US Customs & Border Protection and is designed provide prompt and efficient border crossings for low risk, pre approved passengers into Canada and the US. CBSA plans to deploy NEXUS kiosks at the following airports in the coming months:
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport;
- Montréal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport;
- Ottawa International Airport;
- YYC Calgary International Airport;
- Edmonton International Airport;
- Toronto Pearson International Airport;
- Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport;
- Toronto City Billy Bishop Airport.
