Cayman Airways CEO Fabian Whorms stated the carrier is scheduled to incorporate its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Nov-2018, deploying into service in Dec-2018 (Cayman27, 26-Jan-2018). Three other MAX 8 aircraft are scheduled to arrive in Mar-2019, Sep-2019 and Sep-2020. The aircraft will open new markets for Cayman Airways, as it "has the capability to get to virtually everywhere in North America... most airports in Canada, all airports in the US, everywhere in Central America and a good chunk of South America". Mr Whorms raised the possibility of deploying the aircraft on a new gateway.
