Cathay Pacific agreed to raise the retirement age for cabin crew from 55 to 60 following union lobbying and negotiations over two years (South China Morning Post, 06-Oct-2018). Cathay Pacific Airways Flight Attendants Union, via their official Twitter account, stated: “Today, is the great victory for all workers in Hong Kong, especially cabin crew who have been stereotyped as young and pretty girls”.
