Cathay Pacific announced (19-Jul-2018) plans to launch four times weekly Hong Kong-Seattle service with A350-900 aircraft from 31-Mar-2019, becoming the only airline to operate nonstop between the cities. Seattle becomes Cathay's ninth passenger gateway in the US and its 10th in North America. CEO Rupert Hogg believes there will be "considerable" demand for both business and leisure travel on the new route.
