Cartagena urges Avianca to reconsider plans to cancel New York connectivity

Cartagena Tourism Authority president Irvin Perez reported that 28.8% of Cartagena's tourism traffic comes from the US (Reportur, 28-Mar-2019). Mr Perez is asking Avianca to reconsider its plans to suspend its Cartagena services to New York and San Salvador effective 01-May-2019. Mr Perez added: "US is Cartagena's major market, represents 28.8% of our total visitors... The New York route completes the high demand generated from that market, route also served by JetBlue".
