Australasian Railway Association (ARA) appointed (02-Oct-2019) Caroline Wilkie as CEO, effective mid Feb-2020. Ms Wilkie will join ARA from the Australian Airports Association (AAA), where she has been CEO since 2010. During her tenure as CEO of the AAA, Ms Wilkie led the Protect Regional Airports campaign, culminating in the Australian Government's announcement of a AUD100 million (USD67 million) regional airport fund in 2019, and also oversaw a long term engagement process with CASA ahead of changes to the Manual of Standards.
