CAPA: ‘There is little doubt that Argentina’s airlines battled weak yields’ in 2H2018

CAPA – Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: ‘Argentina LCCs at risk if Ms Kirchner returns’, stated (19-May-2019) domestic carriers have more opportunity than international airlines serving Argentina as the country has been battling with currency devaluation that makes international travel unaffordable for many travellers. International passenger levels reduced year-on-year from Jun-2018 to Dec-2018 and fell as much as 7% both in Oct-2018 and Nov-2018. Domestic passenger levels grew steadily in 2018, but there is little doubt that Argentina’s airlines battled weak yields. [more – CAPA Analysis]
