CAPA: Pegasus Airlines returns 69% of capacity by mid Aug-2020, Turkish Airlines restores 44%

CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'Turkish Airlines & Pegasus: 2Q losses, but positioned for survival', stated (20-Aug-2020) Pegasus Airlines returned capacity more rapidly, reaching 69% of 2019 seat numbers in the week of 17-Aug-2020. Turkish Airlines' capacity recovery broadly tracked that of Europe as a whole, reached 44% in the week of 17-Aug-2020. In growing more aggressively than its legacy rival, Pegasus Airlines is adopting a similar path to Europe's ULCCs, Ryanair and Wizz Air. [more - CAPA Analysis]
