CAPA: Avinor 2019 results are among the least impressive of major global airport operators

14 April, 2020

CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'COVID-19 and airport finances: positive results quickly become history', stated (14-Apr-2020) Avinor's 2019 results are among the least impressive of the major global airport operators, with a significant diminution of EBITDA, EBITDA margin, and net profit. This is partly accounted for by a particularly weak 1Q2019, loss of ATC revenues to another organisation taking responsibility for them and a one-off charge for environmental measures. As with Swedavia, Avinor has no foreign assets, and while it has discussed the possibility of entering foreign markets in the past, it holds too much responsibility in keeping Norway's more remote regions in contact with Oslo and other large cities.
