CAAT: International services ban to remain in place indefinitely

Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) director Chula Sukmanop reported a ban on international commercial services will remain in place indefinitely, adding the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration will continue to monitor the situation (Bangkok Post, 13-Aug-2020). Mr Sukmanop stated: "As of now, no commercial airlines are permitted to operate flights into and out of Thailand and only a number of foreign businesspeople are allowed to enter the country for business purposes". The maximum number of incoming passengers is currently limited to 500 people per day as a precautionary measure.
