Budapest Airport reopens main runway following EUR6.4 million refurbishment

    Budapest Ferenc Liszt Airport reopened (29-Jun-2018) main runway (13R/31L) for regular air services one day before the scheduled deadline. Refurbishment works covered replacement of 8500sqm of concrete pavement, laying of around 300km of electric cables and installation of a new instrument landing system, requiring investment of HUF2.1 billion (EUR6.4 million) with works spanning 110 days. [more – original PR – English/Hungarian]
