Budapest Airport opens phase one of new pier development project

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport reported (15-Jan-2020) phase one of a new pier was commissioned. The northwest wing of pier 1 comprises five boarding gates as well as one temporary boarding gate and preboarding zones. Phase two of pier 1 will have three standard boarding gates and six bus boarding gates in the southeast wing, a central lounge, commercial units and other sanitary and utility areas, across a total surface area of 11,500sqm. Once completed, the new pier will also enable seamless transfer to terminal 2A after check-in.
