25 February, 2019

Brisbane Airport achieved (25-Feb-2019) a 'good' rating for overall quality of service in the 2017-18 Airport Monitoring Report conducted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff commented: "Over the past two years BAC has secured services from seven new airlines - Air China, Hainan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines and Thai AirAsia X, with many existing partners also increasing frequencies. This could not have been achieved without the significant expansion of the International Terminal and investment in systems, facilities and technology that help to manage increased demand and improve airline efficiency and the passenger experience overall". BAC invested AUD341.2 million (USD244.6 million) in aeronautical facilities in FY2018, almost twice its aeronautical operating profit for the same period. [more - original PR]
