Brisbane Airport Corporation: Brisbane Airport to become 'major gateway' into Australia in 10 years

Brisbane Airport Corporation GM airline and retail management Andrew Brodie commented on Brisbane Airport's expansion and objective of becoming the "major gateway in Australia" within the next 10 years (Routes Online/Pop Up Radio Australia, 19-Mar-2018). Mr Brodie said: "We will have more peak hour capacity than any other port in this whole region. So as the other ports into Australia and the region get both runway and terminal constrained, we'll be able to cater for that capacity into Brisbane". Following runway expansion, the airport will be able to handle up to 110 aircraft movements hourly.
