Bremen Airport to introduce incentive system for airline network expansion

Bremen Airport plans to implement an incentive system that rewards airlines that expand the route network from Bremen, effective 01-Feb-2020 (Weser Kurier, 30-Jan-2020). The incentive scheme will include discounted take off and landing charges for routes under a tiered system, starting at 85% for new routes in the first year of operations and 30% from the third year. The scheme also envisages funding airlines EUR6 per departure passenger for traffic increases of 5% on specific routes.
