CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'COVID-19: Brazil charts its own course to combat aviation crisis', stated (30-Mar-2020) Brazil's Government has taken some steps to help the country's airlines during the COVID-19 crisis by allowing operators to postpone payments of air navigation and airport fees. IATA singled out Brazil and Paraguay for their efforts to defer payments and reduce taxes, with IATA director general and CEO Alexandre De Juniac stating: "These actions need to inspire other governments in the region".
