Brazil bets on eVisa to lure US travellers

31 January, 2018

Brazil's travel agency association (ABAV) estimated (30-Jan-2018) the implementation of eVisa for US tourists will inject BRL600 million (USD188.6 million) into the Brazilian economy. US is the second largest source of tourists to Brazil, following only Argentina. Brazil Minister of Tourism Marx Beltrao stated: "The figures seem satisfactory, but they're a lot short of our potential. We have ample space to increase out tourism flow". Brazil is chosen by 0.7% of the 75 million US international travellers. [more - original PR - Portuguese]
